  • Food Preservation

Food preservation prevents the growth of microorganisms, or other microorganisms, as well as slowing the oxidation of fats that cause rancidity.

Salt can be applied to meats or fish being smoked or dried to help in the curing procedure. Salt applied to the meat or fish will likewise help repulse bugs.
